This morning was the culmination of the entire week’s work, with a ceremony and exhibition at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. As we set up the presentation of the student’s work at LACMA, the students began to arrive. Soon, the trickle became a flood of not only students and parents from Heart of Los Angeles, but also of significant members of the community. By the time the graduation ceremony began, the auditorium was absolutely packed! It was standing room only in LACMA’s Brown Auditorium. This was by far one of the best graduation ceremonies we’ve had, and the students could tell. My favorite part was watching their faces as they took in the fruits of their labor.
