Home > Toronto Workshop > Toronto 2019 – Advanced Day 3 – The Last Day…

This morning’s critique was bittersweet as it was our last day with the advanced students. We’ve worked with these particular students over the last 4 years, so it’s an emotional day and we are all quite sad to see it come to a close.

The morning started off with the critique. The students ran through their selects from yesterday with enthusiasm and support for each other. The byproduct of this workshop, aside from the skills they’ve learned, is that each group produces a slideshow focused on their theme/concept that they’ll present to the class at 5pm today.  The themes we’ve been focusing on these past couple days have been Gender Equality, Health and Wellbeing, Climate Action, and Zero Hunger. So today is the final push!

The groups rushed off to photograph last minute locations that could be used to help fill any gaps in their story’s show and then ran home to organize and select their images. The students presented their slideshows to their peers and the members of the community who were in attendance. It was a spectacular transformation! The progress they’ve made in just these past couple of days and years is astounding. We are so lucky we don’t have to say goodbye to all of them because some of them will be staying to help with the upcoming beginner workshop!
